Should the PM's Aide Missed Flight Occur at The First Place .

The thing I can't stand commenting on the most is when I see the PM's Political Secretary making a fuss about missing a flight. It's quite embarrassing since it could tarnish airport security protocols .

Firstly, as a Political Secretary, all political matters brought up by the Political Secretary are the PM's affairs, government official matters. We've got to admit that all national secrets must only reside within government premises - This is the essence of the Official Secrets Act (OSA).

Secondly, the Political Secretary has been provided with an official vehicle complete with a driver. If the car breaks down or facing any unfortunate circumstances, they can simply request a different car from the fleet service provider or find a carpool within the Public Works Department (PWD) (Now it is said to have returned to its original state, with all vehicles being "maintained" by PWD).

Thirdly, a Political Secretary was also given the option to use the pool driver or appoint their own driver. Fourthly, with a JUSA position, they can simply request any officer in the department who has a driving license to drive. This includes all his special officers.

Fifth, as a last resort, they can obtain permission for someone they trust to drive on their behalf. As long as there is a written departmental approval.

Sixth, their driver, with their position as the Political Secretary's driver, can apply for overtime pay and accommodation and lounge allowances commensurate with the position of being the Secretary's driver.

Seventh, it's a good idea to bring the official car to Penang. Everyone knows it's jammed there.

It is preferable if the driver and vehicle are close to the lodging establishment. After the event, the state government sedan must be returned to the carpool office. This procedure are parts of government policy. No driver would be allowed by the department to keep the common use vehicle at their home area even if they live in government quarters even when they are assigned within base station radii.

Eighth, Political Secretaries mostly don't have the privilege to set their own schedule. That certainly brings out the most haunting management nightmare - Missed Important Appointments.

Ninth, if one can return late at night by car, why should rush for a flight that is likely to be missed. That's why the government provides Class D sedans to give a comfort journey for its passenger, top brass civil servant.

Tenth, Want to show humility by not using a government car? It's already tarnished because he complained to X. he already received entitlement, a government issue car and that entitlement is something all 1.2 million civil servants from Grade N19 to TURUS know by heart because it's already written under the General Orders of the Civil Service.

Back then when ministers mostly used Proton Perdana for their commuting car, from the Perdana SEi to the Perdana "Jaguar". Most of ministers dared to travel by car to the north, south, east, and west of Peninsular Malaysia. Everything was smoothly moving without a big hiccups.

But now, ever since every minister and most of political appointee started using expensive cars, they have forgotten about traveling long journey by car. Now they are all scrambling to board airplanes- The most strict way to travel for people.

Notes :- It's far from my consciousness to relate to KLIA's Bunga Raya Complex incident 2 years before.
